‘The Long Lunch’ at Rae’s on Wategos
Lifestyle, Travel, Wedding

I am still a firm believer that Sunday’s should be a day of rest. A day spent switching off from the world, reconnecting with yourself, family and loved ones. A day where you rejuvenate in preparation for the week ahead.

Sunday’s are the perfect day for a Long Lunch spent at Rae’s on Wategos Restaurant overlooking the glorious Wategos Beach.

A few weeks ago my significant other and I spent the afternoon slowly working our way through a magnificent meal consisting of the freshest seafood, local Bangalow pork, organic salads and Velvet & Willow wines.

Seared scallop, slow roast borrowdale pork, cauliflower, muscatel, toasted almond

Baby squid, char grilled, local chorizo, toasted red quinoa, sweet corn, pickled carrot

Local musicians Luke & Sebastian added to the relaxed atmosphere with their dulcet acoustic repertoire consisting of modern and classic covers.
